PROLOGUE
The accompanying documents were developed by me for the construction of the dwelling depicted in the drawn documents. The owner contracted directly with those who performed the construction depicted in these documents, which does not include the concrete structure covered in Book One.
DESCRIPTION
The concrete
shell provided by Book One needs only a cap on the Solar Chimney and a
window/door wall across the front to be completely enclosed. The design
here uses 6" steel framing for the cap and window/door wall, both
with insulation and high quality windows and door.
The interior walls are only partitions and not structural in the usual sense.
These interiors are of conventional tile flooring, wood framing and gypsum
board, but assembled in occasionally unconventional ways. The plumbing, electrical
and mechanical systems are conventional but have some unusual details. All
cabinet designs were by the owner.
The wood porch roof is designed to be tough, low maintenance and long lasting.
